Kitchen- dining table with 8 chairs, induction hob, electric oven, combination microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso, two under counter fridges, under counter freezer. Wide assortment of plates, cookware and utensils. Door to access back garden. Views over garden and pond. Sonos speakers.
Living room- sofa seating for 8 people, open fire, projector with Netflix, Amazon etc. Dining table with 8 chairs. Views down the Glen. Sonos speakers.
Sun room- sofa seating for 6 people, wood burning stove, views over garden, steading and pond. Sonos speakers and turntable for records. Door to access back garden.
Snug- quiet area with sofa and chair with seating for three or four. Television with Netflix, Amazon etc and retro games console.
Utility room with washer and dryer. Oil boiler and electrics.
Wood fired hot tub for 6 people. Wood available in garage. Fenced garden area.

Main bathroom- off hallway, walk in shower.
Kitchen- dining table with 4 chairs. Induction hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso, tall fridge/freezer. Wide assortment of plates, cookware and utensils. Sonos speaker.
Living room- sofa seating for 4 people, armchair, television with Netflix, Amazon etc. Views down the Glen. Sonos speakers and record turntable. Double doors to private garden.

The Old Farm
We believe the farm dates from at least 1850 but is probably much older. Originally a farm on the Earl of Airlie’s estate the functioning farm stopped in the 1990’s and became a private home. As you come down the driveway the fields either side also form part of the grounds and can be explored freely. There are large ponds at either end of the smaller field too. The old steading is now derelict but we have grand plans for that going forward. The neighbouring fields are subject to Scotland’s Outdoor Access Code- outdooraccess-scotland.scot/
Hillockbrae offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere away from busy everyday life, immediately setting the tone for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. The farm is about 10 minutes from the nearest town, Kirriemuir, so is ideal if you want space and privacy. There are no neighbours within 200 metres. Phone reception is patchy but broadband is reliable and fast so it is best to use WhatsApp. The postcode is not accurate so please use What3Words for directions. There is free firewood in the garage. Please note the old steading is closed to visitors, and there is some CCTV on site. We are happy to welcome well behaved dogs to the farm providing they do not go into the bedrooms or go on the furniture.
